Licking Jelly

Me and grandad made a Raspberry Jelly (Jell-O for any American readers) yesterday, he held the jelly and I cut it with a pair of scissors. Grandad poured boiling water on it and put it in the fridge.

For tea tonight we had Sausage, Chips (Fries for any American readers) and Peppa Pig Pasta shapes. When I had finished I asked grandad for some jelly. To my amazement it was wobbly! I asked grandad for 'Licking Jelly' He just looked at me blankly. You know grandad 'Licking Jelly'. Ma didn't know what I was talking about either. In frustration at not being able to get them to understand I started to cry and cry and cry, before I knew it I had been crying for over ten minutes and that pair of fools still didn't know what 'Licking Jelly' was. Ma rang mummy and asked her, at first she didn't know what I was talking about. They finally worked out I wanted the jelly before it had set. By this time I had been crying for over 20 minutes and I had gone right off the idea of Jelly.

Ma gave me a dummy (pacifier for any American readers) this went some way to calming me down. At one point I dropped it and said to grandad, 'pick that up, pick that up now!' and he did.............. By this point they didn't want me to start crying again.

I decided I wanted five Chocolate Digestive biscuits (cookies for any American readers). Ma said no! I negotiated four, I ended up having only two.

All of this could of been avoided if grandad would of put some Jelly in the bottom of a bowl for me to lick.
