Dear Flix,
I’m not sure if you are aware of how things work, so let me
explain. When a child’s tooth falls out a big bell at the ‘Tooth Fairy
Corporation’ head office rings and we locate that child using a sophisticated
process that is way too advanced for a little boy to understand. Once we know
who has lost their tooth we find out where they live from Santa’s Naughty or Nice
list. We then go to their house to retrieve the tooth to recycle it.
There is a story told by older fairies handed down from one
fairy to another, no one knows if it is true or not but it goes like this.
On the 7th August 1995 Miss Z Lee of CB lost a tooth. My great great great grandfather made the very dangerous
journey from Never Never Land where we work to collect the tooth, it wasn’t
there. He made the same journey on the 8th and it wasn’t there and
again on the 9th and yes you guessed it, it wasn’t there. He left
Miss Z Lee a letter threatening to send the dreaded ‘Gum Grabber’ to visit her,
guess what, the tooth miraculously turned up on the 10th, all the
fairies had a party and they sang and danced all night but the boss fairy said
if anything like this ever happens again the ‘Tooth retrieval squad’ would
never return to CB. Thankfully nothing has happened again until
last night.
Last night I went to the address that is on Santa’s Naughty
or Nice list for you and there was no sign of any tooth. I didn’t know what to
do! I was thinking that no children in CB will ever be visited by
the tooth fairy again. I was just leaving when I saw Santa’s little Robin and
he asked me why I was looking so sad? I explained what had happened, thankfully
he told me he had just been to check up on you at your grandmothers and gave me
the address. Luckily for every little boy and girl in CB I managed
to find the ‘tooth’ you are a very lucky boy.
I have left you £1 recycling fee and you are lucky to get
that believe me.
